Amazing little cafe. Very comfortable environment, lots of different seating to choose from. The staff are happy people and keen to make your experience enjoyable. The coffee is really good especially the decaf. The food they serve is all locally produced and has a home made taste to it. Few spaces for parking outside and up the road. Used to be an old petrol station. Worth a visit if you’re in the area.

What a lovely cafe, Friendly and welcoming team, spacious and airy surroundings, relaxing homely decor and furnishings. Option for sofa seating or tables and chairs. Great menu selection, we both opted for the seafood platter and we weren't disappointed, smoked salmon, fresh prawns with Marie Rose sauce on the side, crab meat, side salad and a slice of fresh buttered bread, deeeelicious. Also dog friendly and the best dish of dog treats ever!! We've just moved to the village and this is going to be a regular Cakes next time

Found this place with my sister last October. Returned with my husband yesterday. Lovely coffee served with a smile and a huge teacake served with plenty of butter. Dog friendly. And a variety of seating areas to choose from. We will be back.

We absolutely loved our lunch here today! We were able to park directly outside, dogs were welcome (and even given a little treat of doggy biscuits and cheese) there was comfortable seating, food was amazing and the service was super friendly. As we were visiting the area for the weekend we were craving some good seafood and the crab sandwiches and seafood platter did not disappoint. Portions were generous and we found it to be excellent value for money. The cakes were also scrumptious so make sure you leave a little room for dessert. We would definitely recommend you pay a visit to this lovely little cafe and support a local small business - its an absolute gem! Thank you to all of the team for making us feel so welcome.

We arrived with lots of tired hungry children. They couldn’t have been more accommodating with our group. A lovely lady even opened the drinks can for one of us that had a sleeping child on our lap . Aside from the wonderful accommodation for our grisly children. Their coronation chicken was delicious and their coffee was strong and tasty. Wish we could have tried one of their milkshakes but our small time bombs (children) were about to explode…. Hoping to return before our weeks Devon holiday is up. If not see you next year!

Lovely roadside café with lots of options, we had brunch but the breakfast options are available all day! Friendly staff, nothing too much bother and quick service. Very dog friendly too, ours even got some little snacks. Would definitely go back!
